There were 825 new vans in the under 2.0 tonnes category sold in July this year compared to 738 in the same month in 2025 – a rise of 11.8%. There were 4,993 new vans sold in the 2.0 to 2.5 tonnes category in July 2026 compared to 4,138 new vans registered in the same month last year – an increase of 20.7%. There were 20,842 new vans sold in the 2.5 to 3.5 tonnes category compared to 16,040 in July 2025 – a rise of 29.9%.

On a year to date basis to July 2026, there were 187,226 new vans registered in the up to 3.5 tonnes category compared to 179,481 for the same period in 2025 – an increase of 4.3%.

It is interesting to see that there was a large rise in the number of new LCV BEVs sold in the UK in July 2026 compared to July 2025 – 4,252 compared to 2,442 – a rise of 74.1%. On a year to date basis to July 2026 there were 20,132 new LCV BEVs sold compared to 15,954 for the same period last year – an increase of 26.2%.
